Celebrating Rakhi

Rakhi (Raksha Bandhan) was celebrated on August, 5th this year. As we had no time on this very day, we chose to celebrate on the next sunday.

After a night out and a “rough” start but thanks to all the rakhis we received, we enjoyed this day as the first family reunion after my parents returned from their trip to Russia.

You will find some snaps and videos below!

Indian Business Lesson 1

Rajpat (father): I want you to marry a girl of my choice.
Son: “I will choose my own bride!!!”
Rajpat: “But the girl is Bill Gates’s daughter..”
Son: “Well, in that case… ok”

Next Rajpat approaches Bill Gates.
Rajpat: “I have a husband for your daughter….”
Bill Gates: “But my daughter is too young to marry!!!!!”
Rajpat: “But this young man is a vice-president of the World Bank.”
Bill Gates: “Ah, in that case… ok”

Finally Rajpat goes to see the president of the World Bank.”
Rajpat: “I have a young man to be recommended as a vice-president.”
President: “But I already have more vice- presidents than I need!”
Rajpat: “But this young man is Bill Gates’s son-in-law.”
President: “Ah, in that case… ok”

And that my friends is how Indians do business.

After not understanding a single word – but still giving them a decent applause – we went to Sharm Club. Oliver did not like the Albanian music enough to stay there so our next stop was at the Club Austria in the center of Tirane.
